Performance Dance™ adult beginning intermediate ballet CLASSES

Ongoing Adult Beginning Intermediate classes: Tuesday @ 10:30am at The Ballet School of Stamford (balletschoolofstamford.org) and Saturday @ 5:00pm at the Greenwich Arts Council (greenwicharts.org/index.asp).

Classes are taught by industry veteran Nancy Schwartz who has danced professionally in national ballet and modern dance companies for the past thirty years. Classes are musically based, combined with stretch and strength exercises for the adult. Classes are fun and educational, and welcome a large span in ages and varying degrees of training. Nancy continues her studies in New York City, and Connecticut. A long strength building barre of one hour is followed by well-rounded slow to quick movements in the center.

“Ballet for the Adult? Why Not! It’s the best exercise for the WHOLE body. In an age of constant self examination…what can we do to improve ourselves? What is a proven mind and fitness system that will nourish and build health, and provide hours of fun and engaging study... The answer amazingly is Adult Ballet. There are so many wonderful benefits to ballet class work. Adult ballet is proven as an anti-aging activity: it increases brain cell growth, improves overall health, reduces stress and builds your social network”, says Nancy Schwartz.
